Yay! This is a product I bought on a dare from my dental hygienist. She said I wouldn’t be able to buy this product online, and said if I did then it would be and expired product. The reason? She said it was the exact same stuff she uses when she does fluoride treatments in office and it wasn’t available for me to purchase. Well, the product came as described, is the same as the stuff she uses on me, and is not expired. This tube saves me money on fluoride treatments for my entire family. I pay 20 bucks out of pocket for this tube, rather than paying 20 bucks/person, for a family of 4, every six months. You do the math. Now that I have this product, my hygienist recommends using it every 3 months, using it at night before bedtime and sleeping with it brushed on the teeth. I use my sonic toothbrush (this stuff is liquid like) and brush my whole mouth with regular toothpaste, then brush again with this stuff, spit, don’t rinse, go to bed, and then brush my teeth normally the next…

Feels just like the dentist’s fluoride treatment but way cheaper Every time I visit the dentist I have to get fluoride treatment and they always want me to use a toothpaste called Fluoridex which has a lot more fluoride than over the counter toothpastes. I used it for a while but it’s just so expensive that I had to stop (like $25 or more per 4 oz tube). This 3M Fluoride gel contains 0.4% stannous fluoride which is less than Fluoridex’s 1.1% sodium Fluoride but is also way more affordable.I didn’t know what the difference between the two kinds of fluoride were so before I bought this I asked Google and apparently stannous fluoride has additional benefits but can stain teeth. I’ve been using this for just over a week and haven’t noticed any staining yet, so maybe it takes a while or maybe potential staining varies from person to person. I don’t smoke or drink coffee or do anything else that would stain my teeth so if any staining does occur it will have to be because of this, and I’ll make sure to update this review if it does…

I no longer need to get fluoride from the dentist office Was looking for an alternative to getting fluoride varnish treatments at the dentist, or carrying home large bottles of green pre-brushing fluoride rinse. This one you use after you brush. But it has a lot of chemical ingredients I didn’t want to put in my mouth even if spitting out. This product is a bit pricey perhaps because it’s a famous brand and imported from Europe. I found a similar product which is a fluoride concentrate made in Florida by Dharma Research that seems more cost effective and has a more pleasant aftertaste.
