Great Overal Mic, Good Sound, Low Noise Floor Pros: Great Price, Good Sound, Great ConstructionNegatives: I wish it came with a better carrying case. The FiFine K8 Microphone is a great Mic for any purpose, I have been using it for a while now as my main microphone replacing my Behringer XM8500 Ultravoice. Being a youtuber I am very picky about how my videos sound particularly my voice. The K8 has a low noise floor and rich sound, whereas with my XM8500 I would always have to do some background noise removal I do not with the FiFine K8. It comes with a nice carrying pouch, a good wind sock, and a lengthy cable. This mic would be useful for many applications from YouTube such as I use it for, to stage performances and karaoke. It has a convenient on off switch at the bottom of the mic that is not so loose as or badly placed to where you would find yourself accidentally muting yourself during usage. I have used expensive microphones in the past and to be honest this mic is on par with one in a much higher price…

Budget friendly mic with decent sound quality. You’ll need a windscreen. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this microphone. The build seems to be a robust mostly metal construction and the included cable looks to be fairly good quality. It’s an XLR to 1/4″ which is not as useful or desirable as a normal XLR to XLR, but it works. The only part of the mic that FEELS cheap is the plastic on/off switch.Soundwise, I highly recommend getting a foam windscreen to place on the mic as it is extremely sensitive to puffs of air and sharp consonants. The actual quality of sound is a too mid and bass heavy for my taste, but this can easily be remedied with some EQ and maybe a high pass filter. I really can’t find anything to complain about at this price point. EVERYTHING about this microphone exceeded what my expectations would be based on the price: Build, sound, and packaging.

Solid mic especially for the price

Customer Video Review Length:: 19:52 Mins I had the opportunity to test the Fifine K8 and K6 microphones for my YouTube channel (Sound Speeds). For a detailed test of the K8 including a comparison to the K6, watch my review.Pros:Low and high frequency boosts help mask the dynamic mic sound when a few inches off the micSolid build constructionTop notch off axis rejectionFifine has great customer support2 year warrantyCons:The scooped mids can make your voice lose clarity over a few inches off micIf you accidentally leave phantom power on, the microphone will lose all lows and highsProne to plosives if speaking directly into the micFull Disclosure:The K8 was sent to me by Fifine to evaluate and review. I’m unclear at this time if they will ask for the microphone back or I get to keep it. Regardless, my opinion is honest and hasn’t been influenced in any way by Fifine Technology.
