Great Kids Snow Boots We purchased these snow boots for our boys as they have never really had a need for true snow boots before. I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg knowing they would grow out of them before next year. I was lucky in my timing that we ordered these and they arrived a day before we got 8″ of snow!A few things to note:- They are faux fur lined which helps tremendously in their softness and warmth- The buckles are functional, but just for show. They do not actually tighten or loosen the boot.- The buckles are on a panel of velcro closure for easy on/offI ordered what I believed to be sizes larger than my boys wear to account for thick socks and to hopefully get an extra year’s use out of them.I ordered 11.5 for my toddler who wears 10/10.5 in sneakers and I ordered 1.5 for my older son who wears a size 13.5 in sneakers. Both of them fit like a glove! We won’t be able to wear these again next year, but they work great…

Almost five stars…… Warm, waterproof, comfortable, and very nice looking boots. Initially the metal ice grip, which folds out for use and folds back up flat when not in use, seemed a great idea. It is however, not stainless steel, and rusts. Should your child forget to leave their boots on an old towel, it will leave rust marks on the floor. This is the only reason I would not leave five stars. All in all, I do recommend these boots.

I really wanted to love these boots, BUT … I really wanted to love these boots, BUT … I hate the metal spikes on the bottom! There is a metal hinge to have the spikes either flipped out or flipped under. I have 3 and 4 year old boys, so while I love the idea of having something to prevent them from slipping on the ice, I’m too nervous leaving the spikes out for any period of time for fear they’ll mistakenly hurt each other. So fine, just keep the spikes flipped under, he issue is, even if we don’t use the spikes there is a piece of metal on the bottom of the boot. My foyer is ceramic tile and I don’t want my boys walking around, even a little but, with a piece of metal on the bottom of their boots that could potentially crack the tiles. The other issue is that when metal and water mix, it creates rust. When the boots sit on the floor for a period of time, regardless if the spikes are out or not, there are rust stains left on the floor, which is definitely NOT something I want in a pair of winter boots, which create enough…
